Location, Climate:
Kopaonik is the largest mountain range in Serbia and a mountain tourist center, with a number of accommodation capacities, ski system of tracks and lifts and other infrastructure. Kopaonik is one of the places which provides ideal conditions for active relaxation and enjoyment throughout the year. Because of its natural values, it was declared a national park in 1981.
The climate of Kopaonik is marked with nearly 200 sunny days per year, for which it is deservedly called "the mountain of the sun". Kopaonik has sub-Alps climate. Ski fields of Kopaonik are situated at an altitude of 1,650 to 2,017 m. They are classified as first category ski fields. The Tourist Center of Kopaonik has a network of 22 ski lifts.
