ZLATAR

Location, Climate:
Zlatar mountain (the highest peak of Golo Brdo 1,627 m), located between the Lim, Uvac, Mileševka and Bistrica river.

The name of this mountain summarizes all its properties: fragrant meadows and clear lakes surrounded by pine and birch, a blend of Mediterranean and mountain climate, and the maximum number of sunny days (951 hours).

Tourist information:
Tourist Center is located on 1,327 m above sea level, and it is only 2 km from Nova Varos.
Not far from mountain Zlatar, the Uvac river canyon can be visited. It is inhabited by a rare bird species on the Balkans – the griffon vulture.
